Nowadays tennis has become more popular, wherein people do the most is hitting or receiving a ball at certain speed. A contact between a ball and a racket will cause vibration on the racket, which in turn the vibration force will be transferred to a player hand. On the reported study, a vibration response of a tennis racket due to an impact has been observed and studied. The impact was represented by a ball dropped from certain height onto different locations on the string area of a racket. The measured data were the acceleration amplitudes of racket vibrations. The effects of different string tensions and dampers were investigated. In addition, the effects of different brands of a ball on the bounce and vibration response were also studied. From the experiment it was found that: damper effect was more evident with an increase of the string tension, biggest damping was given by the long-straight damper, a significantly amplitude increase was recorded when the ball hit the area above or below the sweet spot. Of the three brands being tested, Dunlop ball yielded higher bounce and lower vibration amplitude.
